Christina Cookson brings 19 years of experience to The Mayers Firm, focusing on all aspects of insurance defense and personal injury litigation. Her extensive experience includes motor vehicle accident liability, premise liability and insurance coverage. She has successfully defended and tried cases in various counties in this Commonwealth.
Ms. Cookson graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2001 and received her law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2005. During law school, Ms. Cookson served as an articles editor for The Business Lawyer and was selected as a Rose Zetzer Fellow in the Women, Leadership and Equality Program. Following law school and prior to joining The Mayers Firm, Ms. Cookson worked as a staff attorney at The University of Maryland’s Center for Health and Homeland Security and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Albert J. Snite, Jr. in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Ms. Cookson also obtained her M.A. in german studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Ms. Cookson is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Colorado. She was selected by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers to receive the Rising Star distinction for six consecutive years, from 2013 to 2018. Ms. Cookson is fluent in German and Farsi. She resides with her husband.
